Animal Science	ASCI 1 (VOC)	Course completers should be able to identify the common species & breeds of livestock Course completers should be able to discuss the major current agricultural industry issues
Beef Production	ASCI 30 (VOC)	Course completers should be able to identify all common beef breeds Students who complete this course will be able to give a professional quality oral presentation.
Canine Management	ASCI 71 (VOC)	The student will describe the most common canine diseases, explain the symptoms and identify the proper preventive vaccinations. Students will be able to identify various canine behavioral problems and suggest corrective treatment. Students will prepare and present an oral report in class on a certain breed of dog, the presentation will be evaluated by set criteria.
Engine Diagnostics	AGOR 56 (VOC)	Students completing this course will learn to identify and apply practical application of tools and equipment used for proper diagnosis of various engine types and the systems involved. Students completing this course will learn the seven basic steps essential to proper engine diagnosis.
Food Production, Land use and Politics - A Global Perspective	AGAG 1 (VOC)	Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to formulate possible solutions to the conflicting demands for land use between suburban development and agriculture. Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the interdependence of world agriculture systems. Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to give a brief, coherent presentation of their current event summary in front of the class. GEO - Students completing relevant assignments in Area D2 courses will analyze the relationship between social, political, and/or economic institutions and human behavior. Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to discuss the impact that the endangered species act has on current agricultural practices. Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to explain how water issues impact world agriculture Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to evaluate the sustainability of current food production systems. Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to identify and describe the key elements in sustainable agriculture. Students completing AGAG 1 will be able to prepare and present an argument in favor of, or in opposition to, a variety of controversial topics in the arena of agriculture.
Horse Production and Management	ASCI 16 (VOC)	Students completing AGLI 16 will be able to explain the structural changes that occurred during the evolution of the horse. Students completing AGLI 16 will be able to distinguish between different breeds of the modern horse. Students completing ASCI 16 will be able to follow the vaccination schedule recommended by the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
Integrated Pest Management	AGOR 24 (VOC)	Successful completers will be able to identify local pests and disorders of trees, turf, and ornamental landscapes. Students successfully completing this course will be able to demonstrate knowledge of Laws and Regulations of California Department of Pesticide Regulation Course completers will be able to formulate and implement a complete Integrated Pest Management program for a specific site. Students completing AGOR 24 will be able to give a professional quality oral presentation
Landscape Construction Fundamentals	AGOR 71 (VOC)	Students will prepare site and properly install bricks on sand for a walkway project. Identify and correctly use the proper tool needed for landscape projects. Understand basic electrical concepts for low voltage landscape lighting projects
Landscape Irrigation - Design and Installation	AGOR 62 (VOC)	Course completers will be able to evaluate a site and develop a functional design that meets client criteria Identify the proper components of a efficient automatic irrigation system
Landscaping and Nursery Management	AGOR 32 (VOC)	Demonstrate a work ethic appropriate to the plant production industry. Students completing AGOR 32 will be able to demonstrate good customer relations skills. Students completing this course will be able to explain the organizational structure of the nursery industry.
Pet Shop Management	ASCI 70 (VOC)	Students will be able to sketch out a working pet shop layout and label different items such as animal cages, product merchandising, and cashier station. Students will be able to merchandise over 25 different pet industry products in a small pet shop environment.
Sheep Production	ASCI 17 (VOC)	Students completing AGLI 17 will present on a specific facet of the sheep industry. Students will be able to identify major meat and wool breeds of sheep.
Swine Production	ASCI 14 (VOC)	80% of course completers should be able to identify all common breeds of swine with a 70% accuracy. Course completers will be able to give a professional quality oral presentation
