Submit a Summer Mt. SAC College Application *Students MUST select a major/Undecided is not eligible
Apply and participate in the Summer Bridge Program or STEP Into College Program in
the Summer term as your first-college experience.
Complete the 2022-23 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream
Act (CADA). *This is a MANDATORY state requirement of all CA Promise Programs. Applicants that
are not awarded financial aid due to higher incomes, will still receive the financial
benefits of Promise+Plus.
Start college at Mt. SAC in the Summer term through either the Summer Bridge or STEP
Into College program.
Register for an English and/or Math course in the Fall semester.
Students must complete all the eligibility requirements listed below within the first-year
of college to receive a second year of benefits.
Remain enrolled in 12 units for full time benefits or 6-11.5 units for part time benefits
in Fall and Spring Semesters
Complete two of the following courses between Fall, Winter, and Spring: English and/or Math. *Some
exceptions available for qualifying certificate programs
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
Attend one Promise+Plus approved Workshop and/or Event each semester AND make one 30 minute minimum counseling appointment each semester
Second-year college students must continue to meet the above listed requirements in
their second year of college for continued benefits
