The CA Promise Program, known at Mt. SAC as Promise+Plus, is a combination of financial and support services to help first-time, college students be successful in their first two years of college. Promise+Plus provides a variety of financial benefits including money for textbooks and school supplies, free parking permits, campus dining cards, and much more! The Mt. SAC Promise+Plus Program does not pay for tuition. However, 76% of Mt. SAC students get their fees waived by qualifying for the Promise Grant/Fee waiver by submitting the financial aid application. The program is for California Residents/AB540 eligible, first-time college students, that have never attended college*Dual Enrollment, Special Admit, and Articulation students may participate. Current college students may qualify if they are within their second semester of college. Take a look at our benefits below to see what makes us different from other programs. - Receive a refund of the mandatory fees. Tuition is not covered by the Promise+Plus Program.
- Mandatory fees are approximately $50 and include the health services fee, transportation fee, student representation fee, and Associated Student Activities fee.
- Although the Mt. SAC Promise+Plus program does provide financial benefits to supplement the cost of attending college, it does not pay enrollment (tuition) fees.

Whether you take the bus or drive to campus, we have you covered. The free bus pass gives you access to the Foothill Transit line 24/7. The free parking permit allows you to park in the student lots for free.
